Delicious food, overall nice and little place.

Sensational breakfast with a great selection of bacon, toast, fresh bread, pastries, and croissants. Tidy rooms with lovely beds and wake-up service. Exceptionally good views in a great and unbeatable location near the centre of Edinburgh. Again, walking distance to a combined museum.

This accommodation was in the central location down the slope from Royal Mile. The breakfast was good hot and savoury and reasonably priced with toast and scrambled egg.

Wonderful base for a wedding ceremony, has lovely view over open gardens which I overlooked. Magnificent and perfect location as it is minute walk from monuments and a cathedral. The hotel's restaurant is astonishing for dinner.

The breakfast of our place was sensational and adequate at 8.15am, loved it. We were moved to a double room with normal bathrooms.

View was excellent, breakfast was plentiful, and beds were lovely. Truly enjoyed my neat room, it had luggage storage, coffee/tea makers and an iron. Booked it for $ 73.

Having a TV, coffee facilities, and a hair dryer in our tidy room. Marvellous and unbeatable location, close to entertainment venues and eateries.

The twin room was relaxing with an extra bed, the bed was lovely. The breakfast was excellent, it had bacon, toast, fresh bread, pastries, and croissants. The location was fab, close to a castle and a parliament building.

Excellent location - close to cafés and bars. Lots of tourist attractions close to the hotel, like a cathedral and a church. Nicely furnished room with comfortable bed, luggage storage, a safe, and an iron. Pleasant view over open gardens.

The place was well priced, with its very amiable staff from receptionist who explained all. The room I booked was cleaned or new towels and available for the value.

Unfortunately, there was no restaurant.

The location was incredible, close to a cathedral and a church. It took me 10 minutes to walk to the bus stop.

Fairly clean and functional place and the breakfast was savoury and free. I booked double room, thoroughly enjoyed it, and spent 4 days in it. The staff were very informative, particularly good location also close to other tourists attractions. This hotel met requirements!

As for me, the area was very ordinary.

All in all, it's little place that has wonderful and fantastic staff at reception desk. The location is unbeatable, relatively close to a 16th-century palace.

Very early check-in, well-appointed and air-conditioned rooms with a sofa bed, a coffee maker plus the heating.

The hotel had unbeatable location very close to the main 'touristy' sites in Edinburgh, staff very helpful and the great Holiday Inn Express Royal Mile in Edinburgh.
